A jack-of-all-trades technologist
Walker Hamilton, 27, has a bachelor’s degree from an art school in interactive multimedia, a master’s degree from an engineering school in information architecture and a business degree from the school of hard knocks.
Walker was Site Architect at Obama for America, Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign organization. His work involved designing, building, and maintaining applications for the campaign’s various web properties, including the main site, barackobama.com.
Walker has also been a partner at visicswire, a web development and consulting firm based in Chicago, IL, and he was the technical director for Digital Web Magazine, the leading online publication for professional web designers, developers and information architects. While technical director, Walker architected and implemented a content management system to replace the magazine’s aging systems.
Black Point Editions is Walker’s non-web entrepreneurial venture. Black Point is a fine-art print shop that he co-owns with several professional photographers from the Chicagoland area.
