Australia-born, California-raised Tyler Manson is a documentarian of sorts, lurking around the sub cultures of California and abroad.
Tyler’s documentary work represents a wide range of film projects, including Neil Young’s anti-war message (CSNY: Déjà Vu), the story of a voyage across the Pacific on a sail boat made of plastic bottles (Voyage of the Plastiki), a cross-country Greyhound bus marathon mission all in the effort to take a pulse on the state of affairs in America today (The Great American Detour) and many experimental surf films (Woodshed Films).
Tyler’s commercial work began with a DIY mentality and has grown into directing and shooting large scale campaigns for Converse, Ford, and TOMS.
